Introducing the Brewing Folk Subscription 2026: The Wheel of the Year
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Brewing Folk Subscription 2026, a unique collaboration designed to celebrate the celestial year and the rich mythology that connects us to the changing seasons.
Throughout 2026, Brewing Folk is collaborating with the incredible artist Alex Merry to bring you eight unique drops, each perfectly timed to coincide with the major moments of the ancient Celtic Wheel of the Year.
Starting in February, Imbolc is an ancient Celtic festival celebrated around the 1st, it marks the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It symbolises the first stirrings of spring, the return of light, purification, and new life, the perfect time for new projects, reflection, and preparing for the year to come.
Given this we are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Alex Merry one of our favourite artists and folk practitioners working in the world today. Every six weeks subscribers will receive six of our finest fresh beers along with a special gift incorporating Alex’s artwork.
These will take many forms, things to wear, things to hang on your wall and things to listen to. This subscription will be limited to just 100 people so don’t sleep on this one!
What is the Subscription?
This exclusive subscription offers a curated pack of Verdant beer paired with a unique, limited-edition item specially created by Alex Merry for each moment in the wheel.
The subscription celebrates each passing moment of the celestial year, starting with Imbolc in February and following every six weeks for a total of 8 drops.

Alex Merry: Artist in Residence 2026
Alex Merry, known for her distinctive and mythically-inspired artwork, will serve as our Artist in Residence for 2026. Her work will be woven into the fabric of this subscription, producing unique, tangible items that capture the spirit and folklore of each seasonal shift.
Her illustrations and portraiture combine her technical skills with a gentle wit and an irrepressible delight in observing humanity and the world around her in all its colourful and surprising variety.
Her starting point is often colour – setting the mood and building a dream-like world of fantasy and magic around the subject matter. A big influence has been her active association with the music, dance and ritual of the English Folk world. Alex’s art taps into this imaginative and elemental cultural landscape.
