It’s as simple as that. Make beer we love, for everyone to enjoy. Good times for all.
It all started in Autumn 2014 with “Let’s try making some beer”, on the sidelines of a five-a-side football match. Over ten years later, with all the successes and failures along the way, we couldn’t have imagined what Verdant has become. The love, support, and community we share is what drives us, with everything stemming from that first batch, brewed in a shed on the Cornish coast.
You all know we’re proud of our beer, but the team that’s taken shape around us is our proudest achievement. A passionate group of brilliant people… and drinking buddies, working together to bring you some of the best beer you can find anywhere.
We have a distinct understanding of what it means to be part of Verdant. We’re motivated by our passions, connected by community, collaborative, creative and authentic. We’re proud to welcome and embrace diversity, maintaining a workplace focused on inclusivity and wellbeing.
We make hoppy, juicy, hazy, unfiltered, vegan-friendly beers, synonymous with the beers that first inspired us: hop-forward Pale Ales, IPAs & DIPAs from the craft beer scene across the pond.
We put an emphasis on balance and drinkability; with an uncompromising focus on continuous improvement, flavour and consistency, with creativity sitting at the core of everything we do. We also experiment with more styles like Lagers and no & low-alcohol beers, some of which have made it into our core range.
Our beers are stocked in multiple bottle shops and bars around the world, with our freshest releases going live on our webshop at 10:30am every Wednesday.
The beating heart of Verdant. In January 2020, we moved from ‘Blue’, our small brewery in Falmouth, to a brand new facility in Penryn, after a successful crowdfunding campaign. Since then, we have built a bespoke, state-of-the-art brew kit tailored to our needs, pumping out beers we continue to be immensely proud of.
With quality always in mind, we have kept the brew length to a relatively modest 40hl, while ensuring the brewhouse is efficient enough to brew three times in 12 hours.
Taking accountability for our impact on the environment, we’re doing everything we can to reduce our emissions, in pursuit of becoming net zero. We believe the same bold thinking that shapes our beers can help us build a better business: one that’s good for our team, our community, and the world around us.
We have installed a carbon recapture unit which captures and stores CO₂ during production. This allows us to reuse regenerative CO₂ in our brewing processes rather than releasing it into the atmosphere.
Our brewery is also fitted with solar panels that generate approximately 15% of our total electricity usage.
We have implemented on-site nitrogen generation technology and we use 100% recyclable packaging materials across our canned products and have eliminated plastic from our webshop wherever possible.
We want our venues to be unique with our distinct touch. To represent not just Verdant, but the locations and communities around them. Based in Cornwall, the idea from the outset was to create cosy, friendly, and welcoming spaces with a Verdant touch.
We have four unique venues for you to enjoy a quiet beer, a banquet with friends or a late night boogie.
Verdant Taproom (Penryn). Schooners (St Agnes). The Seafood Bar (Falmouth). The Seaview Inn (Falmouth).
