Folks, we’re thrilled to introduce Sail We Must, our brand new Dry Irish Stout brewed in the nitro style for a velvety smooth finish. At a very pleasing and sessionable 4.2% ABV, this stout is all about balance and drinkability — making it the perfect companion for long chats at the pub and post windswept coastal walks alike.
Crafted with a carefully selected blend of Golden Promise, Flaked Wheat, Black Malt, Chocolate Malt, and Roasted Barley, this nitro stout delivers layers of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and a hint of toasty sweetness, all wrapped up in a satisfyingly smooth mouthfeel that only nitro can provide. Expect a creamy head and a finish that’ll have you coming back for more.
'Sail We Must', is inspired by a story from back in the summer of 2008 in rural county Cork, on the wild edge of the Atlantic, when a lone fisherman, Gerard Sheehy, met a weary Andrew Weatherall on his way to a gig. They soon began to exchange stories, namely tales of the sea. During their conversation the seafarer shared a sentiment that would stay with Andrew forever, 'Fail We May, Sail We Must'.
