Creating a crushable hazy Pale Ale that invites a sun-drenched drinking session whilst neither breaking the bank nor paralysing your palate is a real challenge! There has been a desire for such a 5% beer in our core lineup for some time now, and after a couple of covert releases under other guises we are extremely proud to officially launch our new core... SUNDIALER.
The beer is quintessentially Verdant. It is a totally opaque canary yellow, soft and unctuous to drink but relatively dry with a slight bitterness to keep it lively. Our house yeast strain pops out its vanilla and apricot flavour notes and mingles seamlessly with the heavy-handed hot side dosing of our beloved chosen Motueka hops. Think creamed slightly sharp limes and you're getting close. Dry hop wise we've remained relatively restrained (for us!) to keep it super sessionable.
Here we have Motueka leading the charge with Mosaic and Strata playing bass and percussion. Limes, grapefruit, mango and pine needles wash through each mouthful.
We hope you all enjoy it, and as ever we will continue to tweak future batches as is our habit, all to improve drinkability and Verdantyness. Grab the dial, turn it towards the sun and happily sup the yellow Verdant suds!
