Evan Dando (The Lemonheads) + Guests
The voice that defined alternative rock's most tender moments is coming home to The Verdant Taproom. Evan Dando, the heart and soul behind The Lemonheads' most beloved songs, will strip it all down for an intimate acoustic evening on October 1st.
From the raw vulnerability of "My Drug Buddy" to the sun-soaked melancholy of "Into Your Arms," Dando's songwriting has always felt like a conversation with your closest friend – honest, unguarded, and impossibly moving. This rare solo performance promises to reveal these cherished songs in their purest form, where every whispered lyric and fingerpicked chord resonates with the kind of authenticity that can only come from decades of wearing your heart on your sleeve.
Join us for an evening where indie rock history meets present-day intimacy, and witness why Evan Dando's music continues to soundtrack our most personal moments.
Plus Special Guests
Chapterhouse - Acoustic
Chapterhouse are an influential British shoegaze band from Reading, England, formed in 1987 and known for their atmospheric sound blending distorted guitars with ethereal vocals. Active in the late 1980s and early1990s, they released two albums, Whirlpool (1991) and Blood Music (1993). After disbanding, the band reformed in 2009 for a series of shows and tours and now in 2025 at Verdant Taproom (mind blown)
Nell Davies - Acoustic
Nell Davies started making music in lockdown, after reading Viv Albertine’s autobiography inspired her to buy a guitar and write her first song. Her music, influenced by post-punk pop and riot grrrl, has been described as ‘bubblegum punk’. She lives in wild West Cornwall, and records her songs in an old pigsty. (It's nicer than it sounds, but not much).
