Nos Fylm / Film Night – Filmmakers of SoFT Vol.1

A monthly evening showcasing films and filmmakers supported by, or in the spirit of, Falmouth University’s Sound/Image Cinema Lab.

 The second event of the autumn season focuses on short films made by lecturers at Falmouth University’s School of Film & Television (SoFT). The work featured stretches from the recent to the somewhat distant past, as well as some work in progress from some nearly finished projects, and is intended as an introduction to some of the amazing filmmakers working at the school and their journeys as artists to date. 

The filmmakers will be in conversation with Professor Neil Fox midway through the screenings, and Neil will also be sharing some of his short film work from before he joined Falmouth. The programme promises a range of styles and approaches – experimental, comedy, drama, documentary – and an engaging conversation about film, filmmaking, teaching and as always with Sound/Image Cinema Lab work [some of which is part of the programme], the relationship between filmmaking and teaching film.
