We’re releasing new beers…
Great news we hear you say! But the best bit is that the labels will feature a selection of Cornwall's most exciting creatives. We're blessed to live in a part of the world where creativity flows in abundance and it's led us to seek out some of Cornwall's most creative individuals and celebrate their work as part of a new series: Cornish Creatives. We will be celebrating and highlighting some of the finest talent Cornwall has to offer. From illustrators to musicians, artists and graphic designers, creatives from all fields are openly encouraged to get involved.
We would love nothing more than to see our inbox full of creativity! From the weird and wonderful to the most detailed of design and illustration. Musicians send us your tracks and let’s create a visualisation together. We want to see a diverse and eclectic lineup of work.
What we would like to make crystal clear is that this isn’t a request for free label art. We want to work alongside creatives to craft something unique, bespoke and ultimately beautiful. This is a call for submissions and from the subsequent responses we will commission the successful work. Nobody sets on a path to work for free, everyone should be rewarded for the work they do and this project is no different.
We are looking for those who do things differently. Creatives who have immersed themselves in their work and live and breath their output. All we ask is that you complete 10 questions and that you are happy for us to share the answers in a blog post when we release the beer.
Please send any submissions to cornishcreatives@verdantbrewing.co with a link to your work or some examples. If we feel that your work’s a good fit for a Verdant can, we will commission you to either submit a bespoke piece or submit an original piece that you feel already fits the brief. We will send you the name of the beer that we would like you to feature on, along with the style and ABV - after that, it’s up to you.
We have a few Cornish Creatives releases already lined up, beginning with the webshop release of Tomorrow Is, a 5.2% pale ale featuring a wonderfully colourful piece from illustrator Nick Radford. So keep your eyes peeled for that one... We want to keep the creative joose flowing for the foreseeable future, as we mentioned we won’t be ruling out any submissions, they just need to provide us with the opportunity to create a beer that not only looks amazing, but also showcases the amazing creativity based in our inspirational corner of the country.
So please, if you are a creative type based in Cornwall, or know someone who is, get in touch and we’ll get the conversation started!
