Small Batch Project: A new ongoing series of adventurous beers brewed at very low volume, using staff-led recipes and exciting new ingredients.
For this new project, we are taking inspiration from our past by utilising the smaller 20Hl tanks from our old brewing site. We will actively involve the Verdant Team across the whole creation process of each release, seeking opportunities to try new ingredients, new processes and brewing beer styles we don't usually make.
This new project is anchored in total creative freedom, pushing boundaries, embracing new ideas, seeking new knowledge and championing our team whilst staying true to our ethos of independent positivity.
Very limited availability, exclusive to Verdant Webshop and our venues.

SPB #01: RED IPA w/ experimental NZH-105 hops.
To kickstart our Small Batch Project series, we've opted for a potent Red IPA. In our opinion a style that's not brewed enough and which brings together two elements we adore: malt character and a bright hop saturated flavour. We are part of the NZ Hops Bract Brewing Programme which allows us access to some exciting new yet-to-be-released NZ hop varietals. The one in this beer is NZH-105 and on paper looks perfect for this style with its high alpha's and its citrus, dried fruit and woody characteristics.

SPB #02: SINGLE HOP NZ PALE ALE w/ experimental NZH-101 hops.
With SBP #02 we are again exploring a trial New Zealand hop variety. NZH-101 is a fruity little number akin to limes and lemonade! This beer is a soft hazy Pale Ale, hopped in the typical Verdant manner allowing drinkers to really get a rounded view of this exciting variety.
