The Verdant Cask Project

We are making cask ale!

At Verdant, we all absolutely love drinking great cask ale, so we've dedicated a couple of small tanks to this endeavour. We have been brewing test batches since the start of the year, some went well, some didn't and were dumped... But through this learning process we have improved at the art and are now happy to send them out into the world! Big shout out to the likes of Fyne Ales, Burning Sky and Track for generously offering advice in this quintessentially British dark art!

Currently we're hammering away at a 3.8% Citra pale ale called: 'I Remember Having One'. This gets brewed every fortnight with little tweaks here and there as we search for session pale nirvana. The combination of Verdant yeast, soft Cornish water and selected Citra hops makes this a smooth, surprisingly big bodied and zesty little beer.

Over time we will start to explore some other cask styles and would love to hear your feedback on how we're doing. And, keep it quiet, but it appears Lightbulb sings via this method of dispense, this may well become a thing... 👀
