Verdant Originals Season is here!

Verdant Originals Season is here!

Folks, it’s time to take a trip down memory lane together. After our 10th birthday last year we became nostalgic, diving back into the archives, and hatched a plan to bring back some of the beers that made us who we are today.

And so now, Verdant Originals Season is upon us! For a few weeks, we’re resurrecting OG Verdant classics, some of which haven’t been seen in years, alongside a couple of newer brews worthy of the Originals badge. Verdant Originals celebrates our journey, paying homage to the juicy beers that helped shape Verdant, and offers a chance for both long-time fans and new drinkers to experience these iconic brews once again.

What to Expect:

- Classic brews reborn – Long-lost gems to staple brews that helped define Verdant’s world.

- New surprises – While this is a celebration of the past, we couldn’t resist adding a few fresh recipe twists.

- Limited-edition merch – To mark the occasion, we’re dropping some exclusive Verdant Originals gear. Coming soon, keep an eye on the webshop!

- Limited availability – This won’t last forever. Once these brews are gone, they might not be back for a long time—so don’t miss out!

Verdant Originals Season is a series we shall repeat, however, the beers selected will likely change. So folks, if your OG pick isn't included this time round, please do keep your eyes out for upcoming Verdant Original Seasons, where your favourite brew might be up on the podium.

Celebrating an iconic generation

We’re starting strong this week with a much-loved Beat Generation trio. A nod to some of our most iconic, era-defining beers. Marylou, Neal, Allen. Pale Ale, IPA, DIPA. Three beautifully designed cans, all linked by one inspiring generation. It was actually the first series of beers we ever did. The idea was to use the same hop varieties but at differing levels. Nelson Sauvin, for example, is more prevalent in Marylou and Neal. We wanted to create 3 full/soft bodied beers with a proper hop punch, without hiding away from some additional malt character.

To our head brewer, James Heffron, the energy and ethos of the Beat Generation draw many parallels with the Verdant feeling. As he explains:

"The Beat Generation stories were all pretty seminal to me in my formative years, oozing a freedom and dexterity both in how they were written and the characters they portrayed (whether real or fictional). They are still fresh as a daisy and often so squarely at odds with the world we live in. They look at and describe life from a leftfield stance, often appearing to blow preconceptions wide open. That resonates personally and also wholeheartedly in terms of Verdant. Being open to all opportunities and human beings that may come your way, refusing to accept a prescribed way of doing things and trusting your instinct. That all feels VERY Verdant and will never become tired or outdated as they are full to the brim with soul"

"Listening to Ken Kesey speak on stage at The Barbican in 1998 and regale stories of the psychedelic movement he and his Merry Pranksters created with 16mm footage of Neal Cassidy driving the bus (or forgetting to) being projected behind him was a priceless experience and a physical link to a time and place that was so fluid and open."

Grab your Beat Generation 6-pack before it sells out! Available from Wednesday 26th February at 10.30am on our webshop.
