Our Crowdcube campaign is live! It's time to Bloom!
UPDATE! We smashed our first target of £500,000 (thank you everyone who invested!) and are now pushing to get to £1m – so if you're hesitating, read on and join us!
We are very excited and just a little bit nervous to announce that our Crowdcube campaign is now live! We're giving you a one-off chance to buy a share of Verdant, and help us build a destination brewery in our hometown of Falmouth.
We've been building to this moment since 2014, when the idea for Verdant was conceived on a football field. We'd become obsessed with the hazy, juicy New England style beers we'd seen on the East Coast and with no one brewing them in the UK decided we had to be the ones to make them. We've moved from a kitchen, to a basement, to a shipping container, to an arch and into our current warehouse. The time has come to build something for life.
We're now hoping to raise £1m but we hope to raise even more than that to make our dreams a reality – a 17,500 sq ft brewery producing up to 15,000 hl (2.6m pints!) a year, allowing us to both experiment and push the boundaries of IPAs and pales but to produce lots more of our core range and get involved in the UK pint culture that we love so much.
The brewery won't just be a production site though. Inspired by our road trip around New England breweries this summer, we're going to build an exciting and unique taproom so you can enjoy our beers as fresh as possible, and get an insight into the Verdant/Cornish was of life. Making a living in such a seasonal place is tough, and it's fair to say that most Cornish people would love to own their own business and see it flourish. Independence means a lot down here, and we really hope you can help us achieve that and stay true to our artisan roots.
We're offering lots of amazing benefits in return, from free beer and one-off glassware to brewery tours and dinners on us – as well as lifetime discounts at our sites and online. But on top of that, we have a defined plan for you to see a return on the investment if all goes to plan (Capital At Risk), something we feel is often missing from these raises.
So what are you waiting for? Click here and invest today or join us on tour to ask for more details! (Investments of this nature carry risks to your capital. Please invest aware.)
